No Free Labor.

 

One thing that makes our school unique from any other, is that we do not operate our school within an existing "for-profit" salon. Most schools use students as free labor within their salons: the students (who pay tuition) practice on the school clientele's pets. At our school, the dogs are brought in specifically for student use.

All of the dogs that the students use here at our school are on an "on-call" basis. We have a huge list of pet owners that bring their pets in for our students to use. This provides a much less stressful environment for our students. They aren't here to "do a job" but rather to learn. Our focus is always on the quality of the education that our students receive. This is just one of the many ways that we differ from other grooming schools!

 

Pre-learning Program.

 

We also believe that the incorporation of a pre-learning program prior to arrival on campus greatly improves the learning rate of our students as well.  This enhances our time together here at the school because the student now has a strong foundational background that we can build upon together.  So the student receives a high-quality grooming education without being away from home for months on end!

Shannon teaches each and every student that enrolls in this school.  Students are not farmed out to other instructors or past graduates.  She personally teaches the curriculum that she so carefully designed for maximum benefit to the graduates.  She is an energetic and fun person, and is committed to making her students' time here at the school not only informative, but life-changing and fulfilling.  Her teaching style is very fun and entertaining! 

And, she believes that knowing how to successfully establish and operate a grooming business is just as important as learning the "how-to's" of grooming!  So she has incorporated both into our curriculum.
